You don’t. It just helps to stop looking so closely at the monitor and let your eyes relax and focus at a distance. I suffer from insanely strong constant migraines, and that along with a black coffee with no sugar, and an ambient-temp cup of water will help a little. But seriously, stop staring at a screen lol. I have to do it for a living.. meh

Caffeine and ibuprofen. When I get migraines I usually see an aura right before the pain hits. If I see spots and can get ibuprofen and caffeine in me quickly enough it usually minimizes the damage. Obviously yours has already started, but that combination will still help, it will just take a little longer before you start feeling any improvement. A dark, quiet, cool room will help if you can do that. I’ve never had good luck with cold or hot compresses, but for some people those help too.

When I get headaches like that I sit in the shower with the lights off until it goes away or until the hot water runs out.

I usually sleep in my boxers after downing some pain medication. It usually works. Helps to put a pillow over your head to help block out noise.

Other tip: don’t drive. I learned that the hard way.

Yup, step away from the computer and go lay down in a dark room. Light is a big trigger for migraine sufferers. I have had some success with sitting in a hot batch (as hot as you can stand it) and trying to submerge my head as much as possible. I assume it helps expand the blood vessels and makes the migraine lessen. Other than that, you're pretty much SOL. You just have to deal with it.
